Yoakum’s Covey Morrow and Schulenburg’s Dylan Langhamer know their senior season of baseball won’t be their last.

Morrow has signed a letter of intent to attend Blinn College in Brenham and Langhamer and has given a commitment to attend McLennan Community College in Waco.

Morrow was selected as the Pitcher of the Year on the Advocate’s 2007 all-area team after leading the Bulldogs to the District 29-3A championship and into the regional semifinals. He was also selected as the Newcomer of the Year on the Advocate’s 2006 all-area team.

Morrow had an 8-1 record and one save last season with an 0.91 ERA. He had 110 strikeouts in 69 innings. Morrow is currently playing on the Yoakum basketball team.

Langhamer missed much of last season with an illness but pitched and played the outfield while helping to lead the Shorthorns to the Class 2A regional final in 2006 and 2005.

Langhamer also played football at Schulenburg and was a first-team selection in the secondary on the Advocate’s 2007 all-area team and was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Year on the 2006 all-area team.
